1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the T.M.G NEWS website, newsroom pages, article pages, tip-line forms, subscription forms and any related digital publishing services operated under T.M.G NEWS by Threadline Media Group. By using this website, submitting a tip, subscribing to updates, sharing content, advertising with us, or accessing contributor/admin tools, you agree to these terms.
2. Who we are
T.M.G NEWS is Threadline Media Group's text-first digital newsroom serving Ga-Rankuwa, Mabopane, Soshanguve, Tshwane North West and wider South African audiences. Threadline Media Group (Pty) Ltd is registered in South Africa. CIPC Registration: K2026432873. Public enquiries, corrections, POPIA requests and commercial enquiries may be sent to info@tmgnews.co.za.
3. Use of this website
You may use the website for lawful reading, sharing, learning, research and public-interest engagement. You may not use the website to commit fraud, spread malware, overload the platform, impersonate another person, harass contributors or readers, submit false information, or attempt to access restricted newsroom/admin systems without authority.
4. Editorial content and accuracy
T.M.G NEWS aims to publish accurate, fair and verified content. News reports, opinions, features and sponsored items are published for public information and editorial purposes. We may update, correct, expand or remove content where new facts, legal risk, safety concerns or editorial corrections require it. Corrections and complaints must be sent to info@tmgnews.co.za or through the Corrections & Complaints page.
5. No professional advice
Content published on T.M.G NEWS is for general information. It is not legal, financial, medical, investment, immigration, security or professional advice. Readers should seek appropriate professional advice before acting on specialist information.
6. Copyright and permitted sharing
Unless stated otherwise, all website content, headlines, articles, photographs, graphics, design elements, databases and platform material belong to T.M.G NEWS, Threadline Media Group, its contributors, partners or licensed sources. You may share links to our articles and quote short extracts with clear credit to T.M.G NEWS and a link to https://tmgnews.co.za. You may not copy full articles, scrape the website, reproduce photographs, remove credits, resell our content, or use our material for AI training, commercial republishing or mass redistribution without written permission.
7. User submissions, tips and story ideas
When you send a tip, photo, video, document or story idea, you confirm that the information is provided lawfully and that you have the right to share it. Submission does not guarantee publication. T.M.G NEWS may verify, edit, decline, hold, investigate or publish material in line with the Editorial Standards, POPIA Policy and public-interest considerations. Do not submit content that is defamatory, fabricated, unlawfully obtained, private without consent, explicit, hateful, exploitative, or likely to endanger a person.
8. Source protection and confidentiality
T.M.G NEWS takes source protection seriously. However, no online communication channel is completely risk-free. Sources should avoid sending material that could endanger them unless they understand the risk. Where legally required by a court order or applicable law, T.M.G NEWS may have to respond to lawful requests. We will still seek to protect sources as far as the law allows.
9. POPIA, privacy and cookies
Personal information is handled according to the T.M.G NEWS Privacy & POPIA Policy. We collect only information needed for tips, subscriptions, comments, contributor access, enquiries, advertising and newsroom operations. POPIA requests may be sent to info@tmgnews.co.za with the subject line "POPIA Request". The website may use basic cookies and analytics to operate the site and understand readership trends.
10. Accounts, contributors and admin users
Approved contributors, editors and administrators are responsible for keeping their login details confidential. Users may only access areas and functions assigned to their role. T.M.G NEWS may suspend, remove or change access at any time for security, editorial, legal or operational reasons. Drafts, uploads and published articles created by contributors may be edited, reviewed, reassigned, unpublished or corrected by authorised editors.
11. Comments, community interaction and third-party content
If the website enables comments, polls, forms, WhatsApp groups, social media discussions or reader submissions, users must remain lawful and respectful. We may moderate, remove or refuse content that is defamatory, threatening, discriminatory, hateful, misleading, spam, unlawful, unsafe, sexually exploitative, invasive of privacy, or not in the public interest.

To the maximum extent allowed by South African law, T.M.G NEWS, Threadline Media Group, its owners, contributors, editors, suppliers and service providers will not be liable for indirect loss, loss of profit, loss of data, reputational loss, business interruption, reliance on website content, third-party content, or technical failure. Nothing in these terms excludes liability where the law does not allow exclusion.

You agree not to hold T.M.G NEWS responsible for losses caused by your unlawful use of the website, unauthorised access attempts, false submissions, infringement of third-party rights, breach of these terms, or misuse of published content.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute will be handled under South African law and, where applicable, by the appropriate South African court or recognised media complaints process.
