📢 TMGNews Verdict

At R20 return, this is one of the most affordable match-day transport options available in South Africa. For fans travelling from uMlazi, KwaMashu, or the South Coast, it removes the twin barriers of fuel costs and parking chaos.

It also makes practical sense. Moses Mabhida sits in a dense urban area with limited parking. Every fan who takes the train is one less car clogging the streets around the stadium.

But there is a bigger story here.

PRASA has faced years of infrastructure decay, service suspensions, and safety concerns across multiple corridors. When the agency runs a smooth, extended service for a major event, it demonstrates what the system can do. The question is whether that standard can be sustained beyond match day.

For now, though, this is a win. Affordable, practical, and fan-friendly.

Sundowns and Pirates supporters — leave the car at home. Catch the train.
